JUNIORS - ABOUT US
Please see below link for Junior coaching sessions for this year and Junior Timetable of events
At Mortonhall Golf Club we strive to maintain a thriving Junior Section which attracts a wide spectrum of members from the local community. Our Juniors will develop, through a series of initiatives and events, to play golf regularly and achieve a level of ability and enjoyment which fits in with their own aims and ambitions.
We aim to:
> Establish a culture where Junior members are welcomed and developed both on and off the course
> Create an environment which encourages boys and girls of all ages to join and participate in our club
> Provide a range of initiatives, activities, and events which allow Juniors to develop their skills over a period of time
> Encourage Juniors to learn about golf in an enjoyable way which allows a fostering of friendship and cameraderie.
> Deliver a series of coaching events from our Professional to develop the skills required to play golf at all levels
> In 2016 we introduced a special part of the junior section for 5 to 8 year olds. Membership costs 50 pound per year and includes a special coaching programme using Clubgolf techniques. To learn more about Clubgolf click here.
Junior membership Charges
9 to 11 year olds costs £110 per annum
12 to 18 year olds £150 per annum.
Our Professional provides a coaching programme for all abilities. Further, we also cater for boys and girls who are starting out in golf by offering ’turn up and play’ sessions where adult members will take juniors onto the course to increase their knowledge of the rules and etiquette of golf.
